I am Eloisa V. Tiburcio, a preschool teacher from Isla, Valenzuela City, Philippines. Sadly my youngest son Jan Ciryl has a very rare liver disease called biliary atresia that needs liver transplant. Such operation is not done in our country. Pediatric transplant can be done at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Kaohsiung, Taiwan or at the Queen Mary hospital in Hong Kong or at any other countries far from us. And it costs from P3 to P4 million. Our family has sought the assistance of different government institutions and foundations. Gladly some of them responded and gave us medical assistance. But the difficult part is how to get the needed amount for the transplant cost. Thus; we need to ask the help of some compassionate people out there in whichever way possible. I am in agony everytime I see my son JC with a very big tummy and with a disease that anytime could kill him. He can not go to school because of the disease. He is a very bright child and I can see that he really wants to live. As a mother and a teacher, it really breaks my heart when I see my youngest son living with a huge threat in his life. I really want him to be like my pupils singing, dancing, writing, doing a lot of activities that a normal boy can do. We also have contacted the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and sent the recent medical records of my son. And they said that JC should undergo transplant operation the soonest possible time. I am knocking to your compassion and charity. Please help our family save my son from dying. I am begging you. JC's uncle Jasper will be the living donor. He is now also having the lab work-ups.
